After a quick search, I have not found anything like this

Got to work this morning and remembered that I had not checked the levels for a couple of days. Tried to open the bonnet and pulled the bonnet release. About 4" of cable extracted itself from the release mechnism and no bonnet opening. I have managed to ping the bonnet and saw the following :-

Anyone got any ideas where the release mechanism comes from and where I might be able to get a replacement bit.

I suppose last resort is find someone with a lathe and turn myself up a new one.

It looks like it is part of the bonnet cable, new cable time?

I just happen to have one like that spare (but not sheared in 2). Let me know & I can post it to you if you want, but its probably quicker to get at local dealer / motor factor - only a standard cable adjuster with 2 locknuts.

Just unscrew nipple - slide over cable, adjust & tighten up. 5min max

Probably cheaper just to buy a new cable isn't it ??

I believe a range rover cable has the same fittings (longer though) can anyone back this up

I replaced the cable a short while back and it did not come with the adjuster

Thanks for the assistance. If it is a standard bit I will try and locate a motor factors in York and fit it at the weekend
