Hi, my old mams only just got round to telling me she saw a silver TVR (probably a chimaera) badly crashed outside Gypsies Green in South Shields on Thursday night. Hope the drivers ok...? It wasn't P7ULG was it?

no it was my mate T666 AJP gold chimaera, was driving round shields where all the charva's are (with all their beefed up novas!) one pulled out in front of him, he slammed the breaks on, wheels locked up, span, mounted the kerb, straight into a lamp-post. it's now in storage in jarrow, £6000 poss repair. However, the chassis needs a check, so it could be a right off.

He's absolutely gutted, tears in fact, he's only had the car six month. well, not too worry, i think he's getting an EV08 next march!!!!

Not me fortunately, my Chimaera is Halcyon Midas.Know the car you are talking about and actually looked at it when it was for sale at hexham.Hard lines but as long as the driver walked away from it thats the main thing.

yep, he bought it from hexham. He's fine just gutted about the car, naturally. It was a great drive, very throaty with that sports exhaust.

In fact when i went home during the summer for a long weekend, i was that taken back that by his car that i decided to get one myself - went to bedlington motor co then next day and bought my chimaera (starmist green). Never looked back since, well it's only four months ago!

Had considered buying that car but decided to trade my Halcyon midas 400 for a Halcyon Midas 500!! The car is now back with HHC getting the spider wheel conversion (and a headlamp conversion when zertec supply the kit!!!)

Excellent choice, exactly what I want done to mine. My local dealer HH (Henley Heritage) quoted me £2000 for the spider conversion, if I may ask, what have you been quoted?

I was thinking of getting the headlight conversion done, TVR Body Shop Bristol, but I need to count the pennies

Did a deal to have the cost included in the price of the new car so couldn't put an exact figure on it.Getting anthracite wheels on so should look the business.Will post some pics when it is done.
