I need to change the thermostat on my 4.0 '99 Chimaera. TVR quote three units, 82C, 74C and a rotory version. Does anyone know which is appropriate for my car?
Don't know about the rotary thing but 82 sounds standard and 74 corresponds to "there's something wrong with my cooling system so I'll fit a lower temperature stat and see if it helps". Surely TVR know which one you need!

The Leven Tech engine cooling kit (not sure if that's a 'cooler' cooling kit or just a direct replacement) has a thermostat that operates at 74C. The Otter Switch is a direct replacement (or so I believe) so the thermostat may well be like for like.
