I noticed a very small spot of oil on the floor of my garage. Is it normal to get a small drip or is this a sign of worse to come??

I would keep an eye on it. If it under warrenty get the dealership to check it. My was leaking a little oil.Dealer tightened sump and broke the seal which then made it worse. Two sump seals later it's fine not a drop..

Sump gasket gone is a common problem. Mine was fine when I first had it but it had to be done at the service a year later ...

My rocker cover gaskets were leaking a bit of oil, doubt it would ever be enough to actually drip on the floor as most of it would either burn off or deposit itself on the side of the engine, but it could well be a sump gasket as has been mentioned. Fairly common as far as I'm aware

Sound very much like the sump gasket. Had mine up on the ramp at Fernies on Friday and looks like I need a new one @ some stage. No panic yet though.

I had a similar small spot of oil - where abouts is it? under engine or by the wheels? mine turned out to be shocks gone (after a few very bouncy journeys - great fun if you don't wear glasses!!)

Mine is dropping oil, not sure if it is sump gasket or crankshaft seals

It seems to be dropping off the back of the engine near the gearbox.(just in front of the large hole where the clutch is).

The small spot of oil is (as you stand and look at the front of the car from the front of the car) to the right but not far enough to the side to be a shock, well I don't think so anyway.

I have a couple of problems so I think a quick drive to a dealer is in order.

Think I'll also have a quick look but all that will do is confirm where it is unless it's just a loose sump plug as I'm no mechanic.
