I have discovered a very small button that turns, and seemingly does nothing else! It's next to the steering column adjuster on my 97 chim. Any ideas?

Intermittent wash wipe speed.

Wait until you find the interior light switch button by accident with your knee and panic thinking the electrics have died !!!

(Under dashboard, similar position to boot release but left hand side)

Aha! Thanks for that.

I already found the dash button. I thought it might be for heated seats, so made my wife sit there, waiting in anticipation... for quite a long time as it goes - no heated seats!

Heated seats (if you have them fitted) will be a button on the steering column, behind the ignition (where you but the key in).

Except when, like me, you have your A/C wired through an over-ride button. Then the button behind the ignition switch is used.
Confusing eh???
Not sure what would have happened if I had wanted heated seats too?

I found that one on Sunday - the dealer had said it was heated seats, but then it turned the lights out. Was slightly taken aback, but not unduly worried - from what I've read, all the buttons seem to do different things in different cars anyway
