Anyone here? R-reg blue chim on 18" split rim alloys sitting in Dave Batty's place?

Wheels looked awesome, though the 'gold' coloured bolts werern't quite to my taste. Sub woofer behind the seats looked loud too. Nice car.

Did u get a look at the size of rubber on the 18"s - I've been trying to get 17"ers on my chim, but have found that even all-round 16"ers (albeit under extreme round-the-bend action) occasionally rub the arches - WANT BIGGER RIMS - just don't want to have to do bodywork mods to get 'em on!

Seen a chim with 17" ripspeed spider-copies - looked good but discs should have been bigger to fill them up!

Didn't see the rubber size, but it was pretty minimal. Mr Batty said that the 18s didn't leave much room under the arches, so there could be problems.

Best bet is to give him a call. He knows what is involved.

Dunno, it looks good though, and it's got the brake upgrade to go with it

Steve, did you get any further with Folembray, or are you just going to wait till next year

I thought P7ULG said the upgrades were to 16"s - will check up on that!

Has anyone got rotordiscs on - could just be a gimmick but in my opin they look cool!

Think I saw the same car when I was at The Garage last week. Your absolutely right, they looked fantastic.

Did you have a proper nose at the new interior as well? Incredible job there, better than factory fresh!

Can't see the point of those rotordiscs at all. The pointy bits either won't get swept by the pads at all, or if they are your pads will wear unevenly. If they are not swept, then they are superfluous and simply smaller discs with frivolous extra weight rounds the edges. Kind of like aralditing wheel balance weights around the edge of your discs - why on earth would you? Major gimmick, if I ever see a car with them on I will likely p*ss myself laughing.
Mind you, it would have the obligatory 6" drainpipe zorst, 20" chrome alloys, no suspension, blue neons and fog lights glowing wildly, so one more completely moronic and totally useless "mod" won't look too out of place.

Jeez.

Now you come to mention it.............the b*l*ox about improving cooling - sounds like just that to me, b*l*ox! Maybe won't go for them - glad I've got PH to steer me away from Max Power Land!!!
Not likely to see any Saxo-mods like neon, trash(y)can exhausts on a Chim, but did once see one with Fiat Brava lights on the back - no,no,no,no,no JUST DON'T DO IT!!! Anyone else seen that piece of automotive sacrilege? I spotted it while trying to attach a sailboard to the top of my Chim in Porthcawl - saw sense and cadged a lift for it on a vee-dub that happened to be going roughly my way!
