decided to go for a nice drive to Brighton today, you know along those well surfaced, non-bumpy British roads of ours, and as I was driving through Haslemere (also trying to find out where Ferhursts)...suddenly a dip in the road..CRUNCH!....I couldn't stop straight away because I had this twat of a motorcyclist up me arse...

stopped at a service station to find my right exhaust had a large dent in the middle, it wasn't punctured or bent, just a bit...squished!! anyway i carried on as the car sounded fine and i wasn't going to let this ruin the day. Do i need a new exhaust tail pipe or the complete works? or can i leave it?

not at all, well i couldn't hear anything different.

It's not an eye-sore either, from the back it looks fine, it's just that when you look underneath you see the problem. the dent is about 12in long, will look at it again the morra.

need to get a digi so can take some photos

Sounds Ok to leave it, unless the dent was so deep as to restrict the flow, it wont do any harm.
These systems are 1 piece, so you don't want to be replacing it unless you have to.

Agreed if its not blowing and its not affecting the performance dont replace it. Besides it will give you more ground clearance over sleeping policemen, see its not all bad

took another look today whilst cleaning the car - i think i'm going to leave it, there is still plenty of room for the air flow.

cheers for the feedback.

Train your pet ferret to beat it out from the inside.
