I bought a car cover for my car however if its a windy day the movement of the cover sets the alarm off !

Any ideas how I can stop this ? Thought about covering the movement sensors but I cant see where they are.

Put the cover on first, then set the alarm. I'm sure the signal will go through a layer of vinyl!

Tigerfeet,
I had this problem with a car cover.
The chimaera uses a microwave transmitter for interior protection rather than the usual ultrasonics, and the microwave signal actually penetrates the roof / rear screen and can give protection around the exterior of the car if adjusted to a high sensitivity. You could try reducing the sensitivity - I have done this and now don't get any spurious triggers from the microwave unit. However, it does give less protection when parked with the roof off say - still goes off if someone tried to get in though!

Simpo - how would you know it had activated? - you'd have to place a small child under the cover to vertify the alarm had activated. As he/her might actually trigger the alarm if they then attempted to come out you'd have to place food supplies under the cover as well or NSPCC would have you IMO.

You can disable the radar sensors on the Meta alarm by holding down the remote button for about 5 seconds. The lights will flash in an odd sequence and the alarm is set apart from the movement sensors.
