Noisy Gear Knob

Has anyone else had a problem with a noisy / rattling gear knob? The knob isnt loose but there is a definite rattle under acceleration (sounds like a trapped bee).

Holding the (gear) knob stops the noise, could it be the linkage or gearbox mountings?

Yes! I have that.

I consider it the "balls out" warning buzzer, as it only happens when I really go for it...
