A new owner still chuffed to bits with his pink 93 4.0 Chim,
but I am a bit puzzled.

The front was virtually unmarked... until something took a big chip out the nose last Saturday, now I want to do at least a quick touch in and don't know where to start looking for a colour match.

The V5 and the TVR Handbook say it is "Hot Pink"
I don't suppose this is the car reffered to in The Bible as colour matched to someones ski-boots, but has anyone else got one this colour, or is mine a one-off.

As you can see in the photographs, it is not seriously girly pink, it is NOT Rosso Pearl or any of the other popular colours I have seen.

Does anyone else know of another the same colour?

PS Anyone know the history of L24MNW ?
From the MOT's it looks like it has lived in Gods own county (Yorkshire) since birth.

PPS Hasn't broken yet (except the locks), or given me any brown trouser moments... perhaps I am not trying hard enough.

Ah yes, anam chowdoury's old car .. remember it well .. might even have my scribble in the service book somewhere. He was an indian takeaway owner from harrogate or something IIRC. He had a cerbie just after in the same colour, 4 inch tailpipes and no silencers .. very loud ..!!

Give HHC a call, they might have the colour on file somewhere .. 01423 561666

They're doing a good job these days and Im glad to see their support for the TVRCC cause is continuing to improve. It was their Polo shirt that raised over £300 for "Griff"

Indeed .. big thumbs up for that, although it was Charlie and not the old guard that donated it IIRC.. sure his dad gave him a good ticking off for giving the stuff away for free, but well done Chip I say!! *think Griff is a great name for a dog BTW*

H L Gorner in Wigan have Chimaera in the same colour as their courtesy car. Mike Clarke may be able to tell you what you need to know to get some touch-up paint.

Are you going to the NYTVRCC meet next Sunday?

Have you looked for the paint code on the nearside plate under the bonnet? That was all I needed for a perfect match from TVR Bodyshop.
