I have a reader and 44 has appeared, clear and ignore, thats what my dealer told me to do. Very unusual for a dealer not to try the "sell". Been two years since. But to answer, i think £60.

These being the O2 senors in the exhaust, had them replaced on mine at £120 each (have been told there are cheaper alternatives but are not as good so I was told), had @ £40 labour, but that was because a previous owner had them linked out and wiring removed, so had to be rewired.Work carried out at an Indie (Austec Crawley)

Intermittent cutting out problem now sorted.

As i write this, TMSgear is flashing away. Give them a try for a price. I had both mine replaced on the last car, had less interest then so i didnt ask how both had gone. The reader was available from Rimmer Bros, not sure if they still sell them, mine came in my last car, under the passanger seat ! Out of interest, mine has been a bit lumpy recently, no fault codes but a reset of the ECU and all is back to normal.

Drum4it & I were discussing this yesterday, what is the downside of Lambda sensors that have shuffled off their mortal coil (coil - get it).

I.e. mine has just been serviced & the guy's couldn't find any current in/out of the Lambda's.

However the emissions are well within the MOT requirements & in addition, the car is running very well.
