Got car this morning. Absolutely great fun! But have a few observations to make.

1. Not a good idea to start car for first time when next door is taking in the milk. Can lead to a dropped bottle situation. Check coast is clear in future.
2. Remember to peel cat off ceiling before leaving house.
3. 1 in 6 neighbours that I used to talk to, now don't.
4. 1 in 4 neighbours who I never talked to, now do.
5. Remember to search for discarded pair of pensioner's rancid underwear that must be hidden somewhere in the car. (It was very damp today)
6. In future, do not try screen jet's efficiency when roof not on.
7. When posing at side of car with neighbours, check trousers for embarrasing stains (see 6 above)
8. Try not to look so smug when passing number 23, after all, his underslung neons DO look Christmassy.
9. Remember to buy shares in Shell next week.
10. Remember to thank all the PH members, who's knowledge, help and advice have led me into TVR ownership.

Thanks guys!

To be honest most of my neighbours (well the husbands anyway) were just a bit jealous and happy for me when they found out the Chim was mine ...

...but I did get some grief from a mother taking her kids to school wrt fumes when I stalled it and was "giving it some" after a restart to keep the engine going ... I was about to point out the situation hoping my better half wasn't too much on her side when when I heard a tirade from the passenger seat as my wife defended my actions considering the stall

Can't say I have had any complaints from the neighbours either, although they could be using the biggest Marshall speakers to get my attention and my beasts sports exhaust would simply drown them out ;o)

Can't hear their screaming kids either so it's a win win all round!!!

Enjoy the car and I'm sure there will be many more observations especially when you drive down a quiet road between houses at 2am in the morning

You will also find that "half a mile down the road to the shop" will take over an hour and use almost a whole tank of petrol.
