fresh air hose

I know I should have been more careful, but...
After a day of crawling around in the drivers footwell cursing the elusive bolt for the dash hood, ended up with the fresh air hose dangling in footwell. Cant see or feel where it came from.Running out of skin on hands now ,so anyone else had to refit it ?? Early chim without the air vents under the sterio.
