Dear all, I am thinking about purchasing a Chim in the very rear future. Seen a 4.3 on PH`s and being a Wedge owner, being seduced by the curvaceous curvews of the Chim, what do I have to look for. Advice please

Big Al.

Lots of things to look out for!
Better still let an expert check it over.

Have a look though the FAQ's you may pick up some pointers there.

Happy and successful hunting. OH

That question is easy. If you are already familiar with TVRs, then just keep looking until you find the one you want. I spent a year looking, and when I spotted a Giallo Fly Chim 450, I jumped all over it. I had no particular colour in mind, but the last thing I figured I would ever buy would be a Ferrari Yello TVR.

There are some real dogs out there, but most are in good shape.

I know its written for a Griff, but as the mechanics are basically the same, "Ballistic Banana" has a buyers guide on his website which could prove usefull

If you're pretty sure you'll get one, do spend £30+ on the 'Griffith and Chimaera Guide' by Steve Heath www.tvrbooks.co.uk . It's got a buying guide and the rest will be useful after you've bought it!

You can actually get Steve Heath's Chimaera buyers guide off his website for free. Believe that it may be under the FAQ section.
