I have a 96'er and need to replace headlight bulbs. Inside wheel arches are smooth and show no signs of any removable panel. So am I correct in assumming that I access the units from the front by removing the grill.

Did I read correctly that you can/should clean the back of the Chim headlight glass? Do you also go up through the grill to acheive this? Or have I mis-understood something somewhere?

you have to remove the fairing to get the lenses out (I have a 95 model) - I did this to re-fit a badly fitting fairing (that was fitted by my local bodywork specialist!) and I cleaned the glass whilst at it... re-fitted fairing with silicon - took a while but was worth the effort...

Thanks Tovey ah yes the grill. I'll get the sticky plasters ready, and my new years resolution can be 'be patient' well one of them any way!

Well my lghts were fine apart from the dip in one side and main in the other had blown. Having now replaced them I found that one was a 55/60 and the other was a 85/100. So now I have both at 55/60, so no potential wiring probs, and they are just as bright as before which is good for me. Give me a bell, 07739 970096 to arrange a comparison, (I'm opposite the sports centre)
