sports seats???

Im a big chap and was wondering if anyone had changed the seats on their chim? I was thinking about a set of sports type seats to give me a bit more room, head room particularly. I have seen a set trimmed in appropriate leather from Zertec. Anyone have them or know anything about them?

Hi Nick. There's plenty of threads about the Zertec seats on the site. Do a search on the forums for Zertec and Seats. I've considered them myself, look very nice but I hear a bit of a problem to get hold of.

So the obvious questions: 1. do the seats share the same chassis, so it's just a case of swapping them? If not what's involved? and 2. how do the Tuscan/Tamora seats compare with the Chimaera ones in terms of legroom?

Info about fitting on www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=56537&f=9&h=0&hw=tuscan+seats. I'm not sure about extra room. You could try asking EdT or others on the Griff forum who have had this done.

The seats are bolted to the fibreglass not the chassis so you'll be able to put most aftermarket stuff in assuming the dimensions fit

I looked at those briefly, but my "How flipping much???" detector went of.

LOL mine too! Seems strange that people are prepared to ask these prices for a seat, and quite bizarre that people apparently are willing to buy them at these prices. Especially when you consider that you can get a perfectly good competition seat for £100.
