Suffering from Chimaera Withdrawal Symptoms

Oh dear....I had a feeling it may come to this I went to the local Asda after work last night and happened to reverse park opposite a beautiful purple W-reg Chimaera, and I just sat there, staring at it. Admiring its' lovely sleek, curvy lines, the sexiness of the whole car. I decided to wait there to see who came out to drive it. I rang Phillip, at first asking if he needed anything from the shop, then confessed I was parked at Asda, staring at a Chimaera, waiting for the driver. He suggested I may get into trouble for that, but he knows I'm nuts anyway.
I guess I was there for about 15 minutes when a tall guy came out with a trolley full of groceries. Good thing the Chimaera boot is big enough! I get out of my car, walk towards him, and say " It's a good thing you'll be able to fit all those bags in there!" He smiled, and pointed out he even had golf clubs in there!!! I told him I had just sold mine, and was suffering for not having her anymore. He then tells me he recognized me from a TVRCC Berks meet from the summer! Well, the conversation continued for another 15 minutes when I said I did need to get going, but I wanted to hear him start his car and drive off. He very happily obliged!
His car did sound fabulous, and he gave it some extra throttle as he drove away. Thanks, Ian! It's nice to know TVR drivers are such a friendly lot

In fact I was beginning to think mine was starting to sound quiet on the journey to Fernies on Monday, but as I sat in a loan Corsa waiting to pull away the chap reversed my baby in to the road and pulled away, the noise was still there alright the roar and then the pop/cackle as he shifted in to 2nd.

And me. Missing mine and it's only away for a week. I have Peninsula's 206 diesel. Don't get me wrong, it's a perfectly functional car, but it is *so* uninspiring and soooooooo uninteresting and uninvolving to drive. *yawn*.

Hobbit - sold it to buy a house this spring. Another Chim will happen but not for a while yet. Anyone want to lend me their car for a weekend fix??!!!

Cheers Al, it should be back with Brian tomorrow (been up the road having the door sprayed) then for a new clutch master cylinder and fan blower Thursday/Friday.

I dont think I can do it... Sell that is.
Not after reading of Rivergirl's mournfull experience of late.
I promised myself I would keep my Chim for a year just for the experience, then sell before the depreciation really upset me.
Trouble is as spring approaches and the terrible day that it must go draws near, I find I am already missing it terribly. I now realise that I might as well of taken up heroin for a year "just for the experience" then given it up. That probably would have been easier to stop!
I know, just like you can get nicotine patches to give up fags, perhaps someone can patent adrenaline/euphoria patches to help you give up TVR's.
Or maybe I should just carry on. We all need a vice!
