Hi M142!

I live in Sidcup and have a Chimaera! What one have you got?

To answer your Q, use Austec Racing at Gatwick/Crawley. I took mine there and they were great. Mike, Paul there all know there biz.

I live in Bexley too and I normaly go to Walldenway. How much do Austec charge for a major service? Been meening to get a service done for a while but TVR services seem a bit pricey.

I’m in Charlton and often use David Batty for servicing on my Griff, although the last couple of oil changes I’ve done myself.

chimpy_bob, Do you have location contact details for Walldenway. Tried a search in Google and could not find anything.

Thanks

Al.

P.S did I see you in Caryford a couple of weeks ago Think it was dusk on Satudrday or Sunday at the roundabout by Tower retail park?.

Think Austec ended up being something like £500 for major service with Rolling Road.

Walldonway (bought parts from there) was around £900 for same service.

just thought I would let you all know that for 6000 mile service Austec quote £350+VAT with rolling road, walden quote £695 Including VAT.

Walldenway almost tried to justify it by assuring me that they only use Mobil 1 for the oil change. When I spoke with Paul at Austec he said that Mobil 1 is ok for new multi valve engines but he personally felt it was not good for older engines i.e Rover V8's. Anyway nuf said, I will be booking it in the next couple of days.

Once again many thanks to all who contributed.

It was £250 last time I looked. That's what mine cost in December ... er actually it cost £500 by the time they'd done a few other things I wanted them to look at
