If I understand correctly the change could have taken place between late '95 - early '98.
Mine for example is the old style body (front/rear/push buttons on rear wing) but newer interior (aluminium dial surrounds/door opener further back).
No help really but there was never an exact cut off date.

I think the door mirror buttons came in around later 96 early 97 (P Reg) about the same time as the Cerbera style nose slat and modified Bonnet & Boot.
The rear lamps were changed later, at the same time as the backlit Number plate in, I believe Feb 1998.
My Chimaera was registered on 1st Jan 98 and has the Fiesta rear lamps and backlit plate.

I'm not sure of *all* the changes, but my 96/P 400HC has the door buttons on the rear wing, but no key hole in them, the door opener inside is *not* with the gearstick, but is in its own pocket further back, but I still have the non facelifted front, rubber bumper strips, and push buttons to turn the headlights on.
