erratic idle

hi all
took her out for a run today ,first time in two weeks,
on tickover the engine is surging from 900 to 1800 rpms
and back to 900, she is driving well apart from this
any ideas,by the way she is a 97 4.0.

Clean the stepper motor..

Yes check out my post in the general TVR section.

Mine did exactely the same on the way to work but now it's fine. Usual problem is the Stepper motor wanting a clean, loads of posts on this one.
