Broken rear shock
Discussion
Heard a clunk as I drove out of the office car park last night, followed by a loud knocking all the way home.
Drove to the TVR Centre this morning, and they diagnosed a snapped shock!! Luckily enough they weren't too busy, and so fitted new ones right away in a jiffy.
Not the way I'd like to spend every Saturday morning and my hard-earned, but at least the job was done quickly and no other damage.
Gotta love these cars!

Cost just under £160 per shock! eeek! Yeh I know, probably a rip off, but Barnet TVR is my closest, and once the diagnosis was made, I didn't fancy my chances of clunking around the coutry looking for a cheaper place! Did a bit of a deal anyway, so overall not too punishing!
I've only had the car four months, so not sure if they were the original shocks. I'll check the history tonight, out of interest.
Must admit, I didn't know shocks failed in that way - I thought they just got tired and lost their oil. Pleased it went at 5mph in the company car park rather than barrelling down the M1 anyway!
