Aside from the gentlemen revving the nuts off of it....I would like to know how you get that sound track IE on tick over..deep deep burble

I have no cats in mine (ACT Y Piece) but do have a standard silencer....its sounds no where near as good as this

Does anyone on here own it??? or know who owns it??

The sleeved conversions I have heard don't sound as good as this...maybe its a cherry bomb??

Sounds like mine on tick over and mine still has both cats in and has been sleeved. i love mine

And i belive that is the first Chim i ever seen in the flesh driving past me on the A90 near Aberdeen a few years ago and here i am now because of that Gentleman.

There is quite a big difference between the two. Sleeved gives much more treble than a cherry bomb setup which is a lot more bassy. I've been told that mine sounds like it has another couple of litres in the engine since I put it on. More like a yankee engine. I think it sounds much more refined too, a sort of throaty, bassy, fuller sound than sleeved which just sounds like you've cut half of the exhaust off..

I have seen a couple of the ACT Cherry Bomb on 'The Tube' but quality is no good. Would like to hear it on tickover..

Hmm there are a couple of mine up there but as you say, the quality of them isn't great as it was done with a camera phone. If you search ACT cherrybomb TVR, there's a couple of mine in the dark on some wet roads in Birmingham shortly after I got my exhaust (pre-sc).

You'll see a vid of my car on the homepage (recorded in car). Again the quality is crap due largely to wind noise and the teeny tiny mic that came with the bullet camera, but you get the idea! - Actually this vid is with my ACT tail silencers on so its got 9db knocked off its full roar. The tone is pretty similar though, just not quite so wild so I can get on track! Incidently, the tail silencers are a good idea, mine aren't the standard ones and can be left on on the road no problem and shut it right up for long motorway journeys/track days/hangovers etc.

Hmm not a million miles away but not that close either... I'm down in Surrey, I was up in the Midlands only a couple of weeks ago though. Ah well, if you're ever down this way I'm just off the M25 J6 so by all means come and have a listen. I think it's the best exhaust combo you can get for an RV8 by far...!

(And only 15 mins or so from ACT if you want to pay Tim a visit..!)

Here is my car with the ACT Cherrybomb exhaust, with the Sports Manifolds, tripple plenum etc.

Couple of different sounds, as a cr sounds very different under load.
