Finally took the plunge and purchased my first TVR, after 10 years of longing!! (www.pistonheads.com/sales/detail.asp?i=19129&s=1) Had it for 5 days and can't understand how I've managed without one for this long - FANTASTIC! I've ended up leaving work early for the last 3 days (gasman/dentist/plumber) but am running out of quality and believable excuses, so suggestions gratefully received...

I'd also just like to say a hearty thanks to Andrew Moss for looking after it so meticulously - hope you get your Tamora soon mate. Also to Rob Ingleby for a quick turn around on the inspection and obviously Peter Wheeler for everything....!

So, if anyone sees an atlantic halcyon 450 around the North Wimbledon area with a lunatic smile in the drivers seat, give me a wave. One question tho, how can I get involved in some of these meets in my area?

Off now to, err, let the plumber in...

Welcome Jon, it's a good feeling ain't it?

As for excuses "I've got a TVR and I'm going out to scare some peasents, see you later" usually does the trick for me

(gasman/dentist/plumber) what an unusual job! I guess most of the tools are the same...

When i got mine i suddenly discovered the best chippie, best curry house etc. all turned out to be 25-30 miles away along good country roads. Funny, that.

Have fun!

Have found a great corner shop in Guildford for daily milk purchases...

Hello Jon.

Good to hear your enjoying the car (I kind of thought you might!!). My garage does seem very empty at the moment, hopefully not for too long though. Post a pic if you can. Would love to see her all cleaned up and happy in Wimbledon

Keep your eyes peeled for threads in the Events/Meets and General TVR forae (fori, fora, forums) and scour your copy of Sprint for details of your local region.

Oh, and turn up .
