Just had an MOT and an "advice" item said I have got a slightly buckled front wheel....that would explain the steering wheel vibration despite renewing bushes and top ball joints!

Anyone know if it's possible to repair? It is a standard 4.0 litre alloy. I have looked into getting a new wheel but it seems that they are rocking horse doo doo. Any ideas, or anyone know where I can get a second hand one?

Yes, if only I knew I needed a new wheel a few days ago! I have found one source of a second hand wheel but it is £205 incl VAT.......seems a bit steep to me. tvrgear.com list a new price of £114 ish but don't have any.

Any other ideas?

Paul - you admit that these wheels are rare and yet baulk at paying the going rate? What you are experiencing is simply supply and demand in a free market economy.

£250 for a wheel seems alright to me? Or am I missing something? Rich...

Yes, I suppose so. It is second hand though, not refurbished (say another £50)....but supply and demand...etc.

I might live with it for a while, and look into buying a nice set of aftermarket wheels.......in which case anyone want to buy my three remaining straight wheels at say £200 each!!!!

£205 for a secondhand wheel is well over the top, if it were a Miura, fair enough.
What do the factory do with all the wheels they take off cars when they do an upgrade? Just a thought.

Might be worth contacting the factory...they might sell you one from a Chimaera that they've converted to spiders.
