Hello, we replaced the camshaft on our own Chimaera recently, with impressive results! smile

We can do this for £400 labour + approx £400 for the camshaft kit depending on cam choice.

I went for a V8 Developments MC1 in my 450 a few years back. Transformed the car, and excellent service.

In all fairness you cant really compare prices too much untill you find what components are being fitted and level of checks and repairs the garage do, if a garage is including rockers in there cam change you can expect to see £175 more, same with the grade of oil ifone garage just fills with a cheap 20-50 oil as against a quality 15-50 etc that could be 50-100 difference, also when i do cam changes i always pull the sump off and check and clean the oil strainer as nine times out of ten it is full of crud and is going to give your new cam a short life.
