Starting after stalling
Discussion
Twice on Saturday after someone who will remain nameless unless she outs herself
stalled the Chimaera it refused to restart for about 30 seconds
once restarted it was fine, if you turn it off the normal way using the key, and then try to restart it seems fine, and driving to work this morning everything seems fine, so what stops it starting straight after stalling, as you can imagine you don't tend to stall in empty quiet places

Something similar happened to (ahem) me a couple of years ago when I ran a griff - I assumed that I had flooded the engine, having tried to rescue the stall by stamping on the loud pedal!
An embarrassed shove to the side of the road on Elgin High St, drummed fingers on dash for a few minutes, then back on as normal!

OK so that didn't read too well did it....
I think its a lockout 'feature' of the ECU that stops you blowing the cat with unspent fuel reigniting at start up
Could well be, if only I could tell my ecu it's not had a cat for 11 months
Mildly fustrating when your blocking the exit from a retail park and it's uphill so you can't push it forward and theres a queue of cars behind you
