The words worms,of,and can springs to mind here
my 2penny`s worth being a bit of a anorack when it comes to figs is. Autocar is the most respected car tester in the business IMHO after all they have been around a couple of years
and it is that magazines figures i`d take the ideal benchmark, however as a member of the testing team is a active member on PH then i am reluctant to breach copy write? (Stuart)

personally i have never given much of a hoot what the figures read. But, whilst autocar may be respected as a benchmark, these other mags must have got there figures from somewhere, whether it be murdering the clutch in the dry with a dribble of petrol and a test driver of mungo stature I dont know - but surely the figure itself cant be that far out - only the conditions and how hard the car is pushed - oh, and whether a nicely specced and tuned Tiv is supplied to them of course

The figs in the bible come via a Top Gear roadtest & they are:
0-60 5.2
0-100 13.4
1/4 14.0
No idea of the mpg but "not a lot" just about covers it
there is no way that is correct considering the Griff 500 0-60 is given as 3.9s or 4.1 in most mags
Yes it is read. Read the original article and those figures are from damp to wet conditions...
