Chim Rear Brakes

Hi All,
On the way to and from VW this weekend, I started getting a pulsing feeling when applying the brakes, so either I've got ABS
or my rear disks and pads are on their way out. To be fair, I did know this might have to happen sometime soon when I bought the car - and infact the fronts were changed at the last service. (So it had better be the rears!)
I've spoken to David Batty about getting them done next week, and he's quoted me just less than £200 inc VAT, fitting, etc for the ventilated disks and pads.
Does that sound reasonable?

RopeyWell it's not the cheapest quote ever but it sounds fair, I don't know your mechanical know-how, but it's not that hard a job, I imagine it's in the 'bible' or failing that a Granada Haynes manual from the local libary will have all the details you need 
Only tricky bit is winding back in the piston, you can do it with a pair of cir-clip pliers but there is a special tool which isn't too hard to get hold of to do the job quicker and easier
Best way to attack the job is whip one side off and head off down your local auto-factors with the bits in your greasey mits, match them up and they will probably cost no more than £50 for the lot Spend the rest of the day swearing into the wheel arches, and while your in there you can always give everything a good clean/waxoiling/painting

By my calculations that comes to £176. I know it would be cheaper to do it myself, but I much prefer someone who knows what they are doing does it!
Seems like David's figures are fair - not sure why I even questioned it really - he's always great!
