Sat Nav on Chim anyone?

I am toying with the idea of fitting Sat Nav to my chim but cannot see where the screen could go without it being an eye sore.
Anyone done anything clever like sink a screen into the dash hood, motorised flip up screen etc? Failing that what about a head unit swop type system? Any dash photos of finished job?

Jamie Beeston did have sat nav fitted, I now have his old car and there is no evidence of it having been fitted since it fit in the standard radio slot. Some pictures of it can be seen on. www.vsupermarket.co.uk/tvr/
I have TomTom Navigator 2 running on my IPAQ with bluetooth GPS.
My Compaq IPAQ is a perfect 'jam in' fit in the dashboard. Funnily enough I use exactly the same method for my other car (Audi A4).
I basically press it into the binacle in front of the rev counter. It can be seen easily from here and there is no need for any sh1te sticky on holdy things.
The benefits of the IPAQ method is that you can swap cars and also walk with it, I use it for walking around London.

I am on my 3rd Alpine SatNav system (& 3rd different main car). They are really great & navigated me door to door to hotels all round Europe a couple of years ago.
I need reading glasses these days to read maps so much prefer an accurate computerised voice to tell me where to go, rather than relying on a "lady navigator".
Am saving up my pennies for one for my Chim. I have checked that it will fit and open up without snagging the gear stick thingy!

I have the little single DIN Alpine Sat-Nav system in my daily hack - that doesn't have the big fold out screen but has a reasonably large OEL (a bit like LCD) screen.
I absolutely love it - as does my wife.
I'm sorely tempted to "upgrade" to the new version of it (the INA333R IIRC) as that has a bit more processing horsepower and internal memory and will be able to do full postcode searching for the whole of the UK whereas my older version (the INA33R IIRC) doesn't handle postcode searching outside London.
I certainly wouldn't be without it now.

Thanks all for input, it looks like the fold up from the head unit type is a fair option. I saw one of the first DVD player versions some time back but it looked a bit fragile, which put me off a bit. I am sure they are better by now so I will have another look at what is about.

We use an iCN630 from NAVMAN in our Chim. Works fine, although the windscreen and cigarett lighter socket arrangement isn't the friendliest of all. The sucker cup has to go to the right of the driver to allow the power cable to get to the socket in the door.
BUT
I use the same device in all three of our cars. One SatNav bill (about 0.9K now - I paid 1K) and I get a system in all three cars. Bargain.
The screen is great and with the new software it has nationwide post code destination entry and a 3d view of junctions ahead.

I saw this unit at some car show somewhere and it looked really well made and seemed to work well. The only thing that I am not too sure about is how how you would use it to drive all the way to say, Spain. Would you have to download maps to it in bits and take a laptop with you to do it with?
