Handbrake ratchet stopped working this morning. Brake still works, it just won't lock on.

I take it this is likely to mean a new lever... Is this all fitted from under the centre console?

Cheers

Worth taking the handle off to make sure the button hasn't just got caught on something? Otherwise, yes the ratchet is built into the pivot at the base of the handbrake lever.

favourite thing is the bolt coming loose in the threaded insert in the chassis, or the bolt has snapped ..

Is that the same lever that's between the seats on my Griff?? Makes a kind of clicking sound when you pull it. Always wondered what it was supposed to do
