I know I sound like a kid on Christmas Eve, but I can't wait til Saturday..... I recieved my copy of "The Bible" this morning and I'm collecting my Chimp on Saturday! This week just isn't going quick enough... I lie awake at night just thinking about the car and what we're going to do together.

Is this sad or what?

I was crapping myself at the thought of buying mine.
£15k is quite a lot to spend on a car.(well it is for me anyway).

Still glad I got it now.
Can't wait to get it to the Essex meet this Sunday.

Well done Gerrard!

I know the feeling too well ... the anticipation, the pit of the stomach feeling ... the adrenalin ...

Be sure to post your initial thoughts after you eventually get home from skirting the Oxford countryside for a few hours

Its funny, I don't that feeling goes away with TVR's either. Not like with other cars I've owned.

The last few nights I've drove home from work with the top down and I was in heaven.

I look forward to driving in to work now because I get to drive the TVR. Only trouble is it makes work more difficult when all you can think about is driving home with the top down in the sun.

I hope you enjoy your car as much as majority of the people on hear do...

Good choice. Enjoy.

Be careful when you first drive it, it can be scary

In fact, don't think I've floored mine yet ()- the adrenaline gets the old ticker over revved too quickly!

Colour, miles e.t.c. ?? we're always nosey here.

And more good news for you Gerrard

Weather forecast is good for Chimps everywhere - especially in Surrey.

Whoops, sorry Manek!

In fact from the five day forecast, you won't be needing to put the top on for a while

This is the best car I've ever driven, let alone owned. It is amazing how much fun you can have for less then 3k (rpm, obviously )
Roof off all weekend, waving and flashing lights as we cross paths with other Chims (not Chimps, manek)
Even got the weeks shopping from Tesco in the boot (well most of it, some had to sit on the parcel shelf.)
I am sooooo looking forward to a good summer

Just one question.... I've read most of the threads regarding fuel types. The dealer recommended Optimax, the sticker next the fuel filler cap says 95RON (unleaded), most people here seem to have their own opinion. Who to believe?? I guess I'm not going to ruin the engine by trying both to make my own mind up...?

My sentiments exactly after the trip home from the dealers in mine.

As for the petrol, I use Optimax which seems to be the consensus on here.

It does, so I guess I'll stick to that. The nearest garage that sells it isn't too far away (near Bracknell Sports Centre.)

As I sit about equidistant from Berks/Surrey/Hants TVRCC meeting places (which is awkward when trying to find a "local" service in the yellow pages!) I hope to get along to most if not all of these meets. Looking forward to meeting many of you in the metal.

My 'Chim' gets it's regular drink of Optimax from the same Bracknell Shell S/Stn if I use her for work (all too often now the sun's out). Maybe I'll see you in the Frimley/Blackwater area?

Hampshire TVRCC meet this Thursday @ the White Hart, Holybourne (Nr Alton) if interested.

Enjoy!
P.S. Dry straight road - try full loud, if you haven't already.
