hello to all. I have just purchased my first chimaera a 96 P reg. I am wondering if you folks have any advice on how best to care for the car and how to get the best out of it.
Also, on the drivers side the hood is coming up from the car. Is this a common problem? and does it just need gluing down again.
Furthermore, there is a small scuff on the rear wing, but nothing too noticeable. what is the best thing to do with this? touch up paint?
any advice you guys have would be great, as i am new to the world of chimaera ownership!

As I am sure everyone else will advise, first purchase will need to be the 'bible', an essential book for any Chimaera owner.

Well worth the cash. It tells you just about everything you need to know. For everything else do a search on these forums, someone is bound to have asked it before!

Touch up paint Webbs Auto's of Bristol your paint code should be in your handbook or under the bonnet.
If it's more that a scratch let the professionals do it. Nothing worse that a visible patch!
What part of the UK you from and what colour is the new beast?
Drive carefully and take it easy until you get used to it.

Just treat it really nice. Buy it whatever it wants.
Talk to it nicely, play with it often.
Then lots of plesure's and big grinny smiles lie ahead.

I have got rid of very light scratches by using 1500 wet and dry and then some M3 rubbing compound followed by polish. You would never know there was a scratch there after I finished. I did all the stone chips as well, by using a very fine artists brush and touch up paint(about 10 blobs on each chip, leaving it to dry in between blobs) and then using the wet and dry at the end.

I would be so scared of using wet and dry (albeit) very wet, on my car's paintwork - I think i'm gonna buy an old door from a scrappy to have a practice on first ... !
hey Jay - Isle of Man you say! - I used to live there in Glen Vine for a couple of years! Went to QEII in Peel ...er a few years back....
I've had my chim 97 P reg for about 3 weeks and am still having trouble taking the smile of my face. May come over to the island towards the end of the year so look out for a red P reg chim.
