emergency boot access

Help! Cannot open the boot.
Could somebody please e-mail me details of emergency access method. I assume the bible method is out of date - (2000 yr. of mnf.).
New battery fitted. I can hear the solenoid trying to opperate - any ideas on what the problem is?
