New colour sorted. Bodywork progressing

Visited TVR Bodyshop today, to decide finally on colour for Chimaera, now that the bodywork has been repaired, and headlight/rearlight conversions have been done. After discussions with Jason, (and looking back at suggestions from you lot) decided on red glow pearl as the replacement colour for the car, together with new charcoal grey carpets to go with mid/light grey existing leather. Just got to wait now (probably four weeks!) for it all to come together. Just hope it rains solid for the next month so I don't get too impatient.

Sounds like it's going to be lovely. 4 weeks - quicker than the factory methinks!

That's four more weeks from now... been at bodyshop since early Jan, so about 12 weeks or so in total - not the 6-8 weeks that was intimated at the beginning. At least I'm saving a fortune in Optimax, though!

Sounds like it's gonna be a stunner. Love the chosen colour scheme. It's not just you who has to wait - we will have to wait that bit longer until you post some pics up!

and assuming this is an insurance job.how much in the real world for a total change of colour respray

I had to "contribute" approx. £800 to spray the rest of the car in addition to that accepted under insurance. I believe a full respray would be between £2-£3k, dependent upon colour/amount of work etc. but would stand to be corrected (and probably will be)
