where's a good drive around Wilts

where abouts in Wilts.... up top by Chippenham/Swindon etc, or down south by Salisbury?

The roads across salisbury plain are quite nice as long as you don't get stuck with sunday drivers, and there are a couple of nice stretches of road from bath direction across towards chippenham.....

a couple of us went for a nice run from the red lion in avebury down around stonehenge and back a couple of weeks ago, and whilst the rain was horrendous, the route we took proved that it will be quite nice to revisit on a nice day!
