Is the price right?

I've been yearning for a Chimera 4 for years now, and the wife has just give me the go-ahead to get one.Yeah!
I have seen a nice one at a TVR dealership. It is a 1999 (S) and has 25,000 miles on the clock, full tvrsh, 12 months warranty, one previous owner, and they want £18500.00 for it. Does this sound reasonable to you chaps?
Oh yes, I noticed that it had an oil leak and the tacho doesn't work but they said all that would be fixed.

What is it? 4.0,4.5 or 5.0? You could buy cheaper privately than from a dealer, and save yourself at least £2k, thing is the decision is yours.
Loads of threads on here about the pro's and cons of dealer versus private.
Just don't buy the first one you see - unless you can't help yourself!

I don't think you'd buy a similar mileage Chim for £2k less easily, which is what the dealer offers.
Plus if you are buying from a TVR dealer/specalist, I suspect the car will be checked over or serviced, have a warranty, a valet, and maybe the nose painted to hide the stonechips (if the dealer is any good). And the retail value of all this would be £500-1500 ish?
