Unable to open near side door

Hi All,
I hope someone can help.
Due to house alterations I have been unable to get to the car.
Chance came on Friday. I was going to a bike track day at Oulton Park and my eldest son asked if he could follow me in my Chimaera? I agreed !!
Could not get the nearside push button to work ( 95 model ). The button will go down - nothing happens. Anyway we manager to us the emergency entry method.
The central door catch works as does the driver door.
Can anybody help please?
By thr way - my son loved the car - he is an ex rice grinder driver! He really wants one now.

Sounds like the button has become disconnected from the actuator. (In an unbeleiveable coincidnc the e key has just disconnected from my keyboard!!)

The button pushes a bent coat hanger affair which loops into the actuator arm. Mine became disconnected once.

Fix is easy. Lift the access panel behind the seat just below the hoop, it "hinges" up and is velcro'd down at the bottom. it should be obvious from there, but if you can't work out what has diconnected just compare to the other side.

Thanks for the advice.
After looking at the thing for an hour with no obvious reasons for it not working - the bloody thing started to work and has now done so all day!!!
So, having "fixed" the fault I decided to take the old girl out for a spin. Had a really good couple of hours enjoying one of the best driving experiences in the World.
