tiny hole in water pump

dont know which is more embarrassing, bragging to mates that ive had trev for two weeks without any glitches or having my 75yr old granny telling me the cars got a leak.tracing the water back it seems ive got a tiny hole in the underside of the water pumpnear to the driving shaft.not sure whether this is a flaw in the casting or not.any ideas??????
when last driven evrything was fine temp wise

If water is coming out of the hole on the casting under the shaft that means the seal has gone. New pump time.

Yep, it's there as an indicator that the seal is on the way out. Time to get a new exchange water pump.
