Starmist Blue

Can anybody help me out. Is Starmist blue a manufactured paint for TVR or is it a colour they used from another manufacturer? I have looked on the Dupont system but cannot match the paint code.

IIRC it's a TVR colour.

Are you after a touch up pot?

If so try Webbs Auto's of Bristol.

I was after about 1/2 ltr, If it's a Dupont code I could mix it myself, but its not shown on any of my fiche, and the paint code is not on the dupont web site.

I thought it was a Toyota colour - used on early '90s Supras, etc!

No idea. But it's a pretty slow colour. Green is the way forwards. Much faster....

I know the Toyota dark blue was Storm Blue circa. 94-98.

But there was a dark blue previously to that that was quite popular on mk MR2's and as you mention early '90s Supras, which I think was just call 'Blue Mica' IIRC

Have Starmist blue too.

I rang ICI who confirmed it was a TVR special. They asked me where I was located & they put me in touch with my local paint mixer.

9 quid & I had a aerosol mixed up and ready to collect in the hour.

'Pretty slow' Not when it has a stage 3 head, 282 cam and a mark adams chip its not
