GKN or BTR

I have an early Chimaera fitted with a GKN diff, this begining to leak oil from the front.My garage has recomended that the best way is cure this is to rebuild the diff, as I plan to tune the car would it be better to up grade this unit to a later BTR type or stick with GKN.

BTR units used different chassis mounts apparently. Costly to change.

..or just top it up when you service the car..?
