Any tips for bleeding cooling system?

Changed coolant recently to swap thermostat. Followed Bible mk1 instructions, and quantity of coolant that went back in = quantity that came out. However, I now get a gurgling from the heater matrix when sliding heater to hot. I hoped it would bleed through with use, but it hasn't.

Do I have to start again and what might I do differently to avoid getting the same result?

mine does the same noise since carrying out jobs on the cooling system.....is yours a sort of 'radiator gurgling' noise when the car is starting to warm up?

It's coming from the heater matrix behind the dash, but yes it is a gurgling noise.

Thanks CD. I did find a few previous threads, but not that one. I even jacked the front of teh car up to encourage air forwards, but it sounds like the tortuous route of the pipes may have caused it.

The TVR manual specfically says don't run the engine with either caps removed or you will introduce air. As I already have air in the system I will try it. It's much easier to bleed the rad again after.
