I know its asking for trouble, but I bought the Chim its very own fire extinguisher today.

Ever since I fried my Peugeot pick up truck years ago, I've always had an extinguisher in every vehicle.
Fortunately I haven't needed one in anger since the 'If only I had something to put out this little fire under the bonnet now, then I wouldn't need to run away and hide behind a tree in five minutes time' episode.

Anyway, the nice man in Halfords sold me a sweet little thing in red, about a foot tall for 15 odd quid.

I was rather shocked to find that they only come in red, which clashes violently with my green Wilton and the doeskin option is also unavaiable.

Before I drill some holes in my fuel tank or similar; where's the best place in a Chim to fix it?

Mine's on the rear "parcel shelf" in the centre of both front seats -i.e it forms a "T" with the centre console.
Upside - Easy to get at
Downside - Some Chav might try and nick it with roof off

Best place I've found is sideways under the driver's knees, here you can reach it while seated and also reach it from outside the car without climbing inside. Most other places are inaccessible while you're driving and would also be inaccessible if you ever had a fire on the cockpit.
