Expanding Foam

I'm getting a Rollcentre Roll Bar fitted next week to my Chim. Question is, do I fill it with expanding foam ? (The Roll Bar not the Chim !). If so, where do I get said Foam?

how do they get it into the can without it expanding?

I got a can from my local hardware shop - just the normal builders foam. Also got a length of plastic pipe to fit onto the can so that you can get the foam all the way around the bar. I drilled holes in the ends of the rear struts where it had been sealed so that the struts could be filled also. HTH

Why do you need to fill it with foam? Sorry, may be a dumb question..

You don't! I spoke to a number of people about roll bars before fitting mine and many of them commented on various noises being introduced - fuel pumps, suspension etc etc. The foam was just an attempt at damping the natural tendency of the bar to transmit noise. My car seems no noisier with the bar so it might work!

Be really careful near the bodywork/interior though as this stuff is EVIL!! Once you get it on your hands, you'll have sticky fingers for weeks!
