I’ve got a ’93 4.0 with a dodgy airflow meter which is making the car painfully gutless. Does anyone out there know the lucas part number….5 digits starting with a 7 ( no stickers left on mine) so I can get a price for a repair/refurb

Are there two versions of the "standard" air flow meter? Mine looks the same as the one on the RPI site and in the bible from the outside (and is marked Land Rover 5AM) but the inside diameter is bigger and doesn't look as if it is much smaller than the inlet pipe.

I'll check next time I'm tinkering.

Just say "Lucas 5AM hotwire AFM" and I'm sure they will know what you mean.

thanks guys, am just about to check airflow setup with a multimeter, but failing that will be visiting my local Lucas dealer tomorrow. I did quote it was a 5AM hotwire meter for a rover v8 but got a lot of blank looks, thats why I was after the Lucas part number to get a quote for refurb.
