Speedo

I have a problem with my speedo. For about the first 20 miles of my journey it never seems to rise above 40mph although I know Im doing a ton down the M4.
At 40mph it reads about 15mph.

Anyone know where I can start looking to resolve this.

If you can tell what speed you're doing from the revs, wht not wait until the next MOT till you sort it?

My guess would be the sensor has go west. You could try looking for bad connections (the sensor picks up on a castlated ring on the diff. - at the output to one of the halfshafts, can't remember which one), or re-setting the gap - but don't ask me what the gap should be - close as possible I would guess. It is a bit of a bugger to get at.
