I'm in the process of getting an extra set of wheels for my 450 Chimp. I quite fancy going to either 16" or 17" all round using the standard widths / Offsets which I believe to be 7" & ET25mm Front, 7.5" & ET35mm Rear.

I've spent a few hours trawling through some of the old threads but quite a few of the links nolonger work or people have updated old photos.

I'd be really interested in what people have recently fitted so I know if they're currently available and if you've got any photos on your profile or any you can E mail me if not.

I've spoken to a couple of my local (Birmingham) wheel dealers who weren't particularly helpfull when I mentioned TVR (in fact they ran a mile) so if anyone can recomend a helpfull dealer, then there's a good chance they'll get my business!

Cheers, Richard

Thanks Tiny & Twerlie

Twerlie - what make are your wheels and what size tyres are you using? Any problems with clearance or needing to use spacers?

Cheers Rich

Thanks

I like them anyway, they're BK Racing items, sadly no longer made with the highly polished rim, they look even better now the car is lowered, must update the picy sometime...........

Ross, what wheels are those? They look fantastic.

I'm about to come into a little cash, and wheel/suspension upgrades are next on the agenda. If you don't mind me asking, how much and where from?

Twerlie,

You have mail.

I think i have figured out what they are, i think they are Team Dynamics (also known as 100+) Mirage - is this right?
I notice they do a highly polished Mirage too, is that what yours are?

What sizes and where did you get them, do they have any adverse effect on the ride/handling balance?

I have worked out rolling radius measurements and figure on 205/40/17 or 205/45/17 fronts and 225/40/18 rears to clocely match the standard tyre sizes (15 front 16 rear) of my 4.0 Chim.

Thanks Ross.

That was the general idea, i didn't want them to stand out too much. Also why they are in Titanium to reduce that extra Bling!!!
