Daft idea to extend service intervals?

I know it says every 6k in the manual but does anyone who is using their Chim daily push it to say 8k (judging by my log book the previous owner did)

Warranty Holdings used to have a +500 mile ruling, that you were not allowed to exceed.

I've started thinking like this to. Especially as my chim is on 94k miles now. Alot of the miles i do are motorway miles, so I can't see the problem.

Only downside is when you come to sell it, but I'm sure if you explain to the potential buyer they'll see reason.

A lot does depend on the type of use. 8k of track day thrapeing is a lot different to 8k of motorway cruising.

I'd be a bit wary of a car which was serviced at 8k intervals but had pads replaced every time, and discs every other time; conversely, I wouldn't see anything to worry about if a car had 8k intervals but very little other than oil replaced.

I do lots of motorway work in my Audi, and have always stretched my 10k interval to 13k in this way.
