Gemini alarm ticking

Hi

Can anyone help,I have a 93 Chim fitted with a Gemini alarm.
There is an intermitent ticking noise (similar to an indicator flasher unit) coming from the control unit under the dash on the lefthand side.
It has only recently started doing this, the alarm appears to work as does everything else, except the speedometer but i don't think the two are related.
Any suggestions?????

I've had a similar ticking noise in the past from the drivers side! IIRC it was the heater matrix!

I could have sworn it sounded electrical.

I have had the dash apart and held the alarm unit in my hand and it was ticking.

Yes, but did it TASTE like ticking?







It could be a faulty relay in the unit - Mine certainly is!

Hello

Mine does this too. It turned out to be the switch in the driver's door shut which operates the interior light. I guess it triggers the alarm aswell.

I unscrewed it and cleaned it up and all's well again. It seems to happen when I lean on the door.

Anyway, could be that.
