OK a few weeks ago some ****er backed out from beside me and swung too early clipping the side of my Chim and putting some tiny scratches just forward of the front wheel arch and on the door.

After discussions with my regular TVR garage he reckoned I could get them out with T-Cut since they were very shallow. However, as I've heard refered to here before, after a coupe of weeks I got a strange 'crackling' effect through the paintwork around the impact so am now thinking I'll be making a claim on my (thankfully protected) insurance to get it fixed.
Basically my questions therefore lie along the lines of "Is this 'just' a paint job or does the pannel need replacing?", "If the insurance company says use X garage what are my 'rights' to make them use a TVR bodywork specialist", etc.

Any advice gratefully received...

.Mark

When we had to get bodywork done on the insurance I told THEM where it was going to be repaired, they were good about it and there was no hassle.
There are 2 excellent bodyshops near you if you want more details drop me a mail.

Cheers, .Mark, I think I recall you telling me this actually! I was wondering what happens *if* the insurance company says it doesn't agree (well apart from moving my insurance next year of course!).

I may be in touch about the bodyshops - I only know of one.

Thanks!
