The brackets are intended to fit a variety of different RV8 equipped cars with quite different ancillaries potentially present, needing different bolt lengths. If you're re-jigging the alt mounting, it's hardly going to be beyond you to spec the fasteners you need for your application. As John quite happily explains if you ask him.
The point is Gary that certainly for me it wasn't mentioned that additional fixings will be necessary.
Mine arrived on a Friday, I stripped off the old mount, opened the new package to find that I had to source additional bolts.
To be fair I new about the belt scenario which was easy utilising a length of string!
